Islam is the most dominating religion as far as the
individual and mind satisfaction is concerned. Not only in
case of the religious affairs that islam outclass other
religions but in scientific field it is way better than
Christianity,Hinduism etc etc.Yes there are many a few
persons all around the world who always criticize Islam
but no problem because Islam is an answer itself. From
the exuberance of the holy book “QURAN” to the only
perfect man ever to land on this earth,Prophet Muhammad S.A.W (The last messenger of Allah) Islam
has always proved its worth.
So taking up islam with few sips of science I would love to mention words of Proffesor Keith Moore here
“For the past three years, I have worked with the Embryology Committee of King Abdulazîz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, helping them to interpret the many statements in the Qur’ân and Sunnah referring to human reproduction and prenatal development. At first I was astonished by the accuracy of the statements that were recorded in the 7th century AD, before the science of embryology was established. Although I was aware of the glorious history of Muslim scientists in the 10th century AD, and some of their contributions to Medicine, I knew nothing about the religious facts and beliefs contained in the Qur’ân and Sunnah. It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Qur’ân about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must
have come to Muhammad from God, or Allah, because most of this knowledge was not discovered until many
centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad must have been a messenger of God, or Allah.”
Islam has always been the best and well it still is and will
be. And many scientists around the globe stated that
they always consulted Quran whenever they had to go through some research or so.There are lots of verses in
Quran which shows how dominating Islam is in the field of Science. Here I will mention few:
“And He it is who hath outstretched the earth, and placed on it the firm mountains
“We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)…(Quran, 23:12-14)
How could Muhammad have possibly
known all this 1400 years ago, when scientists have only recently discovered this using advanced equipment and powerful
microscopes which did not exist at that time?
Hamm and Leeuwenhoek were the first
scientists to observe human sperm cells (spermatozoa) using an improved microscope in 1677 (more than 1000 years after Muhammad ). They mistakenly thought
that the sperm cell contained a miniature preformed human being that grew when it was deposited in the female genital tract.
This is how the Quran has described
mountains. God has said in the Quran:
“Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs?“(Quran, 78:6-7)
Mountains also play an important role in stabilizing the crust of the earth. They hinder the shaking of the earth. God has said in the Quran:
“And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you“… (Quran, 16:15)
The illuminating stars we see at night were, just as was the whole universe, in that ‘smoke’ material. God has said in the Quran:
“Then He turned to the heaven when it was smoke..“. (Quran, 41:11)
Then out of this homogeneous ‘smoke,’ they formed and separated from each other. God has said in
the Quran:
“Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity, then We separated them?…
These are few references of science in Quran. This is it for now but I will come up with more on this topic. Now feel proud to be a Muslim!!!!
O Allah remove and distance our worries and problems. O Allah help us repay our loans and debts. O Allah cure our illnesses and the illnesses of our families and friends. O Allah safeguard our families, wealth and honour. O Allah, help and assist all of the Muslims, the world over. AMEEN
